Will the app affect the look of my store?
No, it won’t. Our application works with the so-called metadata, which is intended to describe the website pages for search engines. There will be no external changes to your store.

It is important to note that Google takes various signals to re-index pages so it is not guaranteed that your page will be re-index within a few minutes but if you have a high-quality website then your chances are much higher.
What is meta data?
Meta tags provide information about the webpage in the HTML of the document. This information is called "metadata" and even though it is not displayed on the page, it can be read by search engines and web crawlers.
Search engines such as Google use metadata from meta tags to understand additional information about the webpage. They can use this information for ranking purposes, to display snippets in search results, and sometimes they can ignore meta tags.
Meta Title tag: what are the features of working with them?
Meta Title is one of the most important tags in search engine optimization. Its content significantly affects the relevance of the page for a search query. In case of incorrect or default (some systems automatically translate the title of the page in the meta title) filling in the meta title tag, the site may occupy lower positions in the search results.
The basic rules for composing meta title are the following:
• The optimal size for meta title is 60–70 characters with spaces (7–8 words)
• Meta title should start with the basic query in the correct form and not with the name of your store because it is most likely that it will not be a keyword in the query, but it will take away the useful weight and length.
• Try to use the most important words in the first 60 characters and put them in descending order of importance;
• Remember that every word takes away a portion of the weight of significance. The farther the word is from the beginning of the meta title, the lower its weight and significance are;
• Try to avoid punctuation marks;
Each meta title must be unique. If you face difficulties with unicity, add the least important words at the end.
Meta Description tag: what are the features of working with them?
This meta tag is responsible for displaying the summary of the page in the search results snippet. Properly written description increases the likelihood of a user’s transition to your site. Imagine that you are helping a user and a search engine to explain the content of a page in a few words.
The platforms often duplicate the product description in the meta description, which is not entirely correct, since what is displayed in the snippet is a part of the full product description and not a short description.
Recommendations for compiling the meta description:
• Meta title and meta description should differ from each other;
• The optimal length of the meta description is 170–290 characters;
• Meta description should contain keywords related to its page, but you should avoid repeating them;
• Locate high-frequency key requests at the beginning, therefore, they will have more weight;
• Meta description must be unique for each page;
The meta description should be in the form of a selling ad, which will convey the meaning of the page to the user and highlight the advantages of your product and your store.
Is ALT-text also a meta tag?
Yes, it is, and you should not forget to add ALT-text to images, as it is their short description for search engines. Alt-texts should correspond to the context of the whole site and each page, so you should focus on the main topic. You should also take into account that the length of the ALT text should not be shorter than 3–4 words and longer than 250 characters.
Could I set different meta tags for different products?
Yes, you could. In the left part of the application user interface we have implemented the widest selection of conditions under which you can choose the products more accurately for further editing of metadata.
Can I set several conditions at a time?
Yes, you can. You could set the first conditions for the selection of goods for further editing then select AND / OR to establish the following conditions for the selection of other products for editing. There can be any number of conditions.
I made a mistake and want to rewrite the meta tags. How can I do it?
Just select the same products and set new formation rules of meta tags for them.
What are the tags below metadata input fields used for?
These tags insert the value of the variable into the part of the text where you place the cursor. A variable is a quantity that can take on different values in the course of its change. Using variables makes it easier to optimize the site. If the variable has a value of Product title, then the application will substitute the name of the product in the meta field.
How many meta tag editing tasks can I run?
You can form two or more tasks at the same time for products selected on the basis of various conditions. Tasks will be completed one after another.
How fast is metadata edited?
The speed of updating metadata depends on the number of selected products and on the load on the main server. In this case, you can close the application or just turn off the computer, because task execution occurs in the background.

How long does it take for a search engine to update Meta tags?
The timing is impacted by various factors but if you maintain a good website then you may expect your meta tags to be updated in 7 to 15 days. In some situations, it can take even longer.
How to force a search engine to reindex Meta tags?
You can’t force Google or any other search engine. But you could work with https://search.google.com/search-console/about and “ask” Google bot to re-index the changes on your website to display updated title and description.
